Thanks to our school, in the last two years I have been able to visit Valencia and Edinburgh, which are two wonderful European cities. During the study trips I was able to practise the languages I am studying and learn things that I did not know about the culture of the countries we visited.
We visited interesting attractions and sights in both cities. I particularly liked the Oceanographic in Valencia and the Scottish National Gallery in Edinburgh
The two experiences were different in some ways. The main difference is that the language course we attended in Valencia was better than the one we attended in Edinburgh. During the lessons in Valencia I learnt new vocabulary and expressions, while in Edinburgh we spent a lot of time visiting the city. In both trips I enjoyed staying in a host family, but I noticed that I talked more with the host family in Edinburgh.
Apart from sightseeing, we also spent some time doing several leisure activities. When we were in Valencia we ate paella in a local restaurant, whereas in Edinburgh we went bowling and we also did one of the most popular guided walking tours of the city: the Underground Night Walking tour. I enjoyed all these activities, but I think that eating out is possible only if you are in a small group. We visited interesting attractions and sights in both cities. I particularly liked the Oceanographic in Valencia and the Scottish National Gallery in Edinburgh.
In the light of my personal experience, I enjoyed both study trips. I had a great time with my classmates, I improved my English and my Spanish and I visited two amazing cities. What more can I ask for?
