Our great adventure began on 12th December when we got to Malpensa airport and met each other while we were waiting for our flight.

We arrived in Sweden in the evening and we got to the bus station, where our host families were waiting for us.

On Monday we went to school where Swedish pupils welcomed us with a Parade, which is the traditional S. Lucia Parade. It was so nice! They were all wearing white dresses and singing typical Swedish songs; the girls were holding candles in their hands and the boys were wearing pointed hats. We had some time to talk about our country and our school system and the other pupils showed us some beautiful power-point presentations. Then we had a typical Christmas meal for lunch at school. In the afternoon we went for a walk in the old town

On Tuesday and Wednesday we had an amazing music workshop at school: we were divided into two groups, we sang and played instruments (I tried to play the bass guitar), to prepare a song to be played in front of the other group. Then we talked about Christmas traditions in our different countries: the pupils from Romania were wearing typical clothes and the pupils from Greece and Germany sang their traditional songs. We also saw a film at school and danced around the Christmas tree. On Wednesday afternoon we visited the Skansen museum and the Vasa museum.

On Thursday morning we went ice-skating with our hosts: it was fun and we had a good time. Then we were supposed to go for a walk in Lidingo but it was snowing! In the afternoon we prepared our luggage and went to school to have dinner together. After dinner we had a great goodbye party.

On Friday 17th, which was to be our last day in Sweden, we met our teachers at school to go and visit Stockholm. After we had arrived there and had left our luggage in the lockers at the station, we had a tour of the city. At lunchtime we ate too slowly, so we had to run to take the bus and get to the airport, but fortunately we arrived in time! After a few hours, we were on the plane, ready to take off, when a piece of news came from Bergamo: Orio airport had been closed due to the snow, so we had to spend the night at the airport. Early in the morning, on Saturday, we finally left; our destination was Brussels. In the afternoon we were on a plane again, coming to Italy this time.

This was an irreplaceable experience. If I could, I would get on a plane tomorrow to have another adventure like this!
