«Kangourou»: The Final Phase in Mirabilandia

Emilia Maria Costa (2aF)

«Kangourou» is an English competition organized by the British Institutes.

It has three phases: firstly you have to take a test in your city; then in your region, and eventually in Mirabilandia!

This year, the final phase took place in that famous amusement park the 13, 14 and 15 may, and I was there too.

I have been there with a teacher from our school, teacher Formentin, a kind person, so the journey to Cervia was good, although I had never travelled that much before.

When we got to the hotel, I met my room mates: Valentina, Federica and Giulia.

They are really pleasant and we taught each other some words from our dialect, which was a funny thing!

I'm really happy I took part because thanks to this I got to know wonderful person and... being there was fantastic!

The 2nd day we had all the tests and in the afternoon, after our speaking test, we had some spare time in the park.

They had a ride on the roller coaster, the Ispeed.

I took a photo of them, just before a frightening downhill, and I'm glad I wasn't on that roller coaster...It must have been really scary!

After that we tried the other attractions, and even though it rained, we had a wonderful time.

The time passed really fast and before I could realize it, it was time to leave.

It's been a great experience and I'm grateful to everyone who helped me.

I'm really happy I took part because thanks to this I got to know wonderful person and... being there was fantastic!

It taught me we should seize the opportunity because we never know what could happen!
